We are big fans of snacks so we stopped into Osteria da Alberto to have a midday bite and a glass of wine while we made our way through the tiny streets of Venice. The best part about this restaurant was the group of older Italian men dressed like they were about to board the Titanic lingering around the front counter ordering espresso and goods. We were the only group of tourists inside the place. We definitely had the impression that this was a place frequented by locals. We were glad Giovanni was there to help us with ordering.

Eating in Venice from Nic Hunt on Vimeo.

We stopped into Osteria da Alberto in Venice, Italy to have a snack and some afternoon wine. As with most good meals, it isn't just great food and company that makes the meal great, but also the atmosphere. Osteria da Alberto has unique atmosphere in spades.
