A Tornado of Delicious Goodness

The mister pumped out three Turkish meals in the last 24 hours. Manti, a ravioli-like dish with a yogurt, dill, garlic and lemon sauce mixed with a tomato-based sauce was served up for dinner; Kabak Mücver, fried zucchini cakes was on the menu for lunch and Turkish Musakka, a lasagna-like dish with eggplant but without pasta was great for dinner last night and even better as leftovers today. One of the great things about house/dog sitting is having access to a kitchen and, in this case, Turkish cookbooks. Nic is in his happy place 😉

Goats Lingering in an Ancient Theater

As we exited the small city of Kas on foot, olive trees and goat paths quickly replaced shops and restaurants along the side of the gravel road. Within minutes, we stood on the stage of the Ancient Lycian Hellenistic Theater, which dates to the 1st century BC. The local goats joined us at we watched the afternoon sky 😉

Who Cares If The Water Is A Little Cold

Even though swimming season is fading fast as the temperatures drop below 70 degrees, a day doesn’t go by that we don’t get in this water. Pretty awesome, folks!! 🙂 🙂
